Whether you are considering making changes for the first time or looking to maintain long-term growth, my goal is to walk alongside you on that path for continued self-discovery. The goal of therapy is to promote biopsychosocial-spiritual wellness built on your values and boundaries. Therapy works best when it is collaborative so my intention is to provide the space for you to express yourself freely and get to know yourself on a deeper level as we work towards a collective goal. I like to draw from a background of CBT skills, shame-resilience, and Internal Family Systems to empower the people I work with.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from UW-Madison and my Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University Chicago. I have the training and experience to help you in any number of areas including: relationship stress, life transitions, addictions and recovery, compulsive attachments, grief/loss, shame-based trauma, emerging adult stressors, mood disorders, boundary setting, codependency, LGBTQ- related issues, nonmonogomy, problem sexual behaviors and self-worth.

The LGBTQ community faces a unique set of stressors which can translate to disruptions in daily living. I want to take the time to understand your lived experience and begin to explore the impacts related to guilt/shame, coming out experiences, family issues, minority stress, internalized homophobia and transphobia, sexual identity, gender identity, & relationships.

Problem sexual behaviors involve a certain fear, isolation and shame and therefore can be challenging to know how to navigate. It is important to promote sexual wellbeing beyond the absence of the unwanted behavior or consequences.  Often times, there is a narrow focus to address the identified problem and “make it go away”.  Focusing on sexual rights, health, and pleasure promotes something healthier and more sustainable.
